NHS Virtual Graduation 2020

Letter for High School Graduates
June 1, 2020

Dear High School Graduate,

Congratulations on your accomplishments in completing your requirements for your high school diploma during this unprecedented time in our state, country and the world. You should be proud of your accomplishments, and we wish you the best of success in the next part of your educational journey.

For those of you who are university ready, Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona are ready for you!
As a member of the Arizona Board of Regents, I have asked our three state university presidents to join me in this communication and to work with you, especially those of you who are university ready and have not yet made or finalized your university plans. We offer a unified commitment to work with you and your family members to ensure your next step in learning continues this fall as a degree-seeking student at one of our three great public universities.

It is not too late to begin planning for your university education now by taking the following next steps during the months of June and July.

  • Starting or completing your application for admission
  • Sending your final high school transcript
  • Filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Pursuing financial assistance and scholarship options
  • Registering for fall semester classes and discussing your various living options

Our three public universities are here to help you, in any way possible, to take that next step and begin your undergraduate education this fall.

Our university experiences as students were transformative in our personal and professional lives. That is why, as the leaders of Arizona’s three public universities and the state’s education system, we are encouraging you to continue your education journey at either ASU, NAU or UArizona this fall.

Our university admission teams stand ready to serve you as you explore your educational options now that you have completed your high school education. For those pursuing a degree or certification through a community college, please inquire directly with their admissions office to support your transition.

Again, congratulations on your accomplishments and best wishes with your next venture.

Respectfully,

Kathy Hoffman
