Via Nogales International

The Nogales High School girls track and field team, seen here, finished second at the 18th Mario Castro Invitational, hosted by Sunnyside High School last Friday in Tucson. For their part, the NHS boys finished seventh at the event, which included more than 30 participating schools. Both squads had numerous medalists, including the girls 4X800 relay team of Mia Barraza, Elizabeth Fuentes, Alex Maldonado and Brianna Martinez, and the boys 4X400 relay team of Arturo Alvarez, Brayan Chavez, Oscar Contreras and Parker Jeong. The NHS track and field teams will host Rio Rico for a meet on Wednesday, March 23, starting at 3:30 p.m.
